How to Connect Kids with Birds and Nature

Karen Rodriguez: Course Director of Photography

As a parent, we know there are certain kinds of opportunities we want to give our kids; to slow down, take time away from screens, get some fresh air, and get to know what’s outside their front doors. You might wonder where to start. We've created this self-paced online course for you!

This course is a toolkit to help YOU nurture children into the outdoors. We’ll share tips on how to go on kid-friendly nature walks, find birds and other wildlife in your neighborhood, and provide boredom-proof ways to observe, explore, and connect with nature. Designed by environmental educators, this course is packed with hands-on nature activities and tools you can use to effectively engage your 6-10-year-old child, grandchild, or other important children in your life.

And in the process, you’ll help them build science skills and well-being practices that will support them throughout their lives.
